rear veiw mirror

Hi All Today a mis coloured disc appeared on my rear view mirror? it is about 8 cm wide and 3 cm in height, it just looks like some one has stuck a plastic sticker over the mirror, it is on the inside. I have no idea what so ever what the problem is can any one help?? Many thanks Gary

Sounds like maybe the clever stuff inside the mirror is on the move. When they break down they can leak - horrible green gunge I believe. Basically, you don't want that to happen, because if its not shifted pretty rapidly, it eats into whatever its dripped on to. Be warned and keep an eye on it. Paul

pauls right at derby i think it was nev,left his car for a few days,came back mirror had just burst,gunge everywhere,and had started to eat into the surround by the gearbox,i would seriously consider replacing it if it was not nev,i do apollogise,if it was you please stand up !!!!!!!!
