Need to vent about my project 2.9L. GRRRR!

My day started so nice. I cruised over to the machine shop to get my 2.9L block bored .030" over and give the cylinders a good hone-ing. So I set up the boring bar and started with a nice gentle .015" cut, then a additional .015" final cut (.030" total). Cylinders 1,2,3 turned out perfect. Cylinders 4,5,6 were bored out-of-round and off center from the factory. After the final cut, I was left with an untouched arc just under the ring groove in the cylinders. All were .004" deep, and too deep to hone out. So I'm looking for a new engine block. They're not expensive, but I have to yard out the engine myself and that's at least 5 hours at the car bashers, then at least 1 hour roadtrip to the shop, then 3 hours to strip it down, then another 5 hours for cleaning and boring out AGAIN!!! GRRRRRR End of rant. Thanks for listening.

Sure! Grab a Concorde to Edmonton, I'll pick you up, then we can wrench until we're blue in the face with sweat and beer. Hell, I'll even feed ya and give you the couch to sleep on!
