Central Timer Module

Hi,

I think my central timer module is U/S. The footwell lights stay on all the time when  the ignition is on and take about 20 mins to go out when the ignition is off.
I have found the unit number

95GG 14K150 AB

Someone has got a module from a 2.0 ultima same year but the last two letters are AA and not AB
Anyone know the difference.

Could be a relay I suppose but its odd that the lights staybon when the ignition is on and then take 20 mins to go out, sounds more like the problems in whatever sends the signal to the relay, unless of course the relay itself has a built in timer ?

Try the power saver relay R16 in the auxiliary fuse box, It is located by the side of the battery, I think it is green in colour if my memory serves me right and it is at the very rear outermost side of the fuse box, This may be at fault being stuck open, give it a tap it may work, If not try replacing it with another, I think it is just a normal switching relay with numbers 30/85/86/87 and it is only green because this is the Ford colour.
The lights go out after a while because it is the battery saver that is working,i think Undecided, i'm not sure but this may be the same module, others will no doubt have a better understanding on this than me so expect some more answers to your problem.
