HI GUYS
IM TRYING TO IMPROVE AN IDLING PROBLEM I HAVE WITH MY CAR ITS A SCORPIO 2.9 ULTIMA AUTO 12V
THE THING IS I HAVE READ ON THIS FORUM THAT CLEANING THE MAF MAY HELP HOWEVER LOOKING AT THE PICTURES ON THIS SITE AND THE INFO GIVEN THE 12V IS EXCLUDED DOES THIS MEAN I DONT HAVE A MAF
PLEASE HELP AS THIS IDLING PROBLEM IS DRIVING ME CRAZY

check the idle speed control solenoid it controls your idle they get worn thiers a two terminal plug on it and it,s like a small cylinder with a electically controled valve
its got two bolt,s holding it on .

The 12v does not a MAF as you would recognize it..... do as the other post states clean the ICV worth taking the air intake hoses off an cleaning around inside there where the butterflies are with carb cleaner on a rag.. but be gentle....
also check the vacum pipe inder the icv it can get knocked off qite easily....
