Code 57
« on: Sep 18th, 2004, 6:29pm »

Evening all.

I tried another CC reset this afternoon after realising that the face vents seem to be more keen on blowing cold than any of the others Undecided

Anyway, in the past, I've had no trouble at all with doing this, but this time I've had code 57 appear. At the bottom of this page... http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/aircon.htm the codes are explained and I obviously have a problem with the HBC.

But my question is, before I go fiddling around or go finding a new HBC, is there anything else I should look at? Any silly little connections or anything?

Cheers... Paul

Hmm... I knew they were a bit on the pricey side  Shocked
So if I keep attempting the reset (already have several times) will the 57 go away?
The thing is, I don't think its completing properly.

Tried the reset again today.... and it went absolutely fine. Code 57 seems to have disappeared. Odd but good news none the less.
All vents are now blowing the right kind of air again. Keeping 'er happy anyway.  Grin

paul
i have had "code 57" ever since i bought the car (almost 2 years),also with no problems at all,do a reset every so often, get the code, reset it again,no code,etc.etc,...
shoulden't worry about it,like it has been said before,i think quite a few of us suffer with this one.......
