HI..
DOES ANYBODY LIVING IN THE SOMERSET AREA HAVE A LAPTOP AND OBD LEAD/SOFTWARE ?
FAILING THAT DORSET/DEVON/NORTH SOMERSET/BRISTOL WOULD BE A HELP...

Hi Craig, I do have a laptop and an OBDII setup but i don't have the VE software that is the standard used by everybody on here, I have Scantool which brings up DTC codes and allows me to view O2 Sensors. MAF readings etc
if this is any good to you let me know

i will have to wait for other peoples opinion on this,me personally i dont actually know  ,basically every now and then the car appears to "miss a beat" so to speak,and what i wanted was someone local with the set up to run a scan and check the car out for me,just to see if it does chuck out any codes........
will the set up you have do this for me ?

YES ! - I can run a Scan with the car running and check to see if any codes pop up and also watch the O2 sensors switching, flow through the MAF, long and short term fuel trims etc.

relief.......no codes.... 
graeme,please remember the difference between a scorpio and a volvo
as a footnote to this,vehicle explorer software for use with the OBD2 set up,if you download it from the net,do you have to enter a code or password to use it ?....
can anybody shed any light on this matter,any links to sites etc.

yes, you need to enter a code if you want to connect to the car. you can get a working copy from http://www.obd-2.com
