94 Scorpio 2 ltr(Auto)with LPG Misfiring?

Can anybody help - Car shakes on tickover like its drawing in air. Shakes worse in drive on tickover, but when driving it's alright. Fitted new plugs, had the gas checked out (ok). Has anyone any idea what may be causing it? (It's just like it's misfiring on tickover, but it's not)

hi there
have you looked at the wiring to the spark plugs? and the coil packs themselves? mind you, this tends to give a misfire when running. 
you could try taking the small vac pipe off the egr valve and blocking the end of the tube. this will stop the egr working which is a big cause of air leaks.
could also be a faulty idle bypass valve. take it off (2x 10mm bolts), clean with carb cleaner (do the MAF at the same time  ). see if that helps any. i should point out that cleaning the valve is generally a stop gap and the problem comes back, so a new one is best ( if that's fixes the problem).
give these things a try and let us know.

thanks for the advice scorpio man but where are egr valve and the idle bypass valve situated in engine as you cannot get a workshop manual for these cars.yesterday it cleared itself for a few seconds ::  ) then went back to missing again
