Not sure if its the same as my 7000 but after inputting the numbers with the 1,2,3 & 4 buttons, press the 5 button to enter them. Not sure if you're doing that final bit or not.

Thanks paul but tried that and the thing just sat there looking at me waiting for something... I must have pressed all the buttons more than 5 times each, pressed and held a few as well but nothing... And it's mighty cold outside as well !!!

Think you might be right Paul. I may have been using the wrong software thing (there's two) so just got to wait another 30 bleedin minutes then try again

SORTED !! Had to press the select button after correct input of code (many thanks to Baz for that) CD changer works as well. Tight previous owners didn't leave me any discs in it though ;( FLH speaker inopperative. RRH speaker very dull.

Is there something about if you enter the code wrong the radio locks you out from trying again.

| yes pioneer do some very nice sounding stereos much better than the ford ones. also they don't jump like my ford cd changer does in my scorpio. i have a pioneer in my mk2 granada and have had no problems with it whatsoever and no codes to worry about either. paul

worth noting tho that the old granada was fitted with that stuff called "suspension" . god knows why and as you know ford later changed this design fault and the new scorpio now picks up absolutely every pothole and tarmac change as if it where a canyon. So dont be suprised if your new pioneer jumps as well.

Also worth noting that the 'Old' Granada handles like a pogostick in custard when you attempt to start pushing it hard. A bit like an old CX500

I deny all rumours of me ever having owned a CX500 - It's just not true! I did once have a GPZ305 though - Yes the one with beltdrive - I can hear all you bikers out there now tittering at the back.

Mmmm, GPZ305, Cam's made of butter as well if memory serves The belt drive was the good bit RD250, RD350, 400/4, GS550, GS750 bored to 850 then 1000 motor, XS1.1 hard tail , GPZ1100 lawson, Moto Martin GPZ1000 out to 1205 now with ZZR11+ engine. Plus a few others short term I wonder if any of this helped with the "Radio Code"? PS, Dan, both these turms were applied to the CX.
