Have had major problems last few cold weeks due to heater being luke warm to cold. Did resets to no advantage, back flushed as sugested , this would work marginally for about a day then back to luke warm. To car to main dealer to change matrix but they did a pressure test etc and said it was OK so would not change it. Said it was air lock. Again it worked for 2 days with only warm air. Decided to put rad flush directly in to heate pipe. left overnight then flushed it out. this had the effect of working for about 2 miles then went stone cold. SO back flushed again , still the same story, warm for a bit then cold. This time I removed the pipes from the heat matrix at the bulkhead very carefully as the matrix pipes are plastic. My theory is that the bits are lose in the matrix and being pushed back in so I reversed the pipes to the matrix thinking this would force them back out. Boy is my heater hot. Would burn your hand at full blast. That is 4 days ago and still OK. Over Christmas I will drop the bottom Rad hose and completely flush out the engine and rad system. Hope this helps some other frozen begars. Merry Christmas
