Window wipers.

Hi, not long ago (3months) i read somthing about Fixing the wiper arms ball joint thingi.. But cant find it anymore. Last night i started the car and ofcourse the wiper handle was on, so wipers starts, but ofcourse they where frozen stuck to the window........ and i heard a BAM and some klonking, i heard what it was, so i just stoped the wipers and started driving home, Then i smelled a sweet burned smell in the car, and i thought the wiper motor has gone, but it workes.. The wipermotor arm had hitt the conectionbox in midle of the car.. When i stoped the car and took out the key, it was "burning" hott.! My firs tought was a short somwhere but, cant find it... Any toughts.? Box in midle of car, seems to have ok conections, dont know what rund throug it thoug, anyone.? Garage for check and MOT 04.Jan. Need wipers to work befor that.! How do i fix it.? Have one sugjestion with rubber bands, elactik rubber bands.? (whats the Eng word for it.?) MERRY XMAS EVERYONE.!

The post you refer to was to use two cable ties (Plastic) and cross them over around the faulty ball joint.. the other method was to drill with a small drill and secure with a self tapped screw..... as far as I can remember All the best Happy Christmas Snoopy
