Wasnt sure which forum to post this in?

Is there a K&N induction kit for the 2.3 engine either for the Scorpio or Galaxy?

I see a direct replacement filter 33-2749 - does anyone use this?

I seem to remember that Andrew went ahead and fitted the kit and posted up some piccies.

Perhaps they were lost in the Florida storm.

Here's a bit of useless trivia for you all!!

When I was a mere boy of 16 (back in 1980) I worked for a mini racing specialists called "Howley Racing" in Warrington They used to tune up minis that would beat Ferraris and then Metros driven by the likes of Steve Soper. Anyway, the guy who owned Howley was a guy called John Chappel and JC was the man who acquired the sole import rights for K&N filters into the UK and part of my menial work (before I left and got a trade as a sparky) was to check all the incoming stock from the states then box it and send it off to the customers.

I had one on my mini (well two actually cos of the twin DCOE40 webers on the 1460 racing engine!) and my 1968 Ford Corsair 1700 V4

Just thought I'd share that one with you all!!

hi there

i use a kit a bit like this one....http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36680&i tem=7944939196&rd=1

as lee says, doesn't make much of a difference. looks good, though. Cool

then a again, with the cat off.....well Grin must be about 165-170 bhp with the filter Wink

oh, if you do it, you need to make a small bracket to hold it all still.  whoever i copied the idea from reads this, if he could post his photo. it has a plastic heatshield thingy.

No, but you'll have to clean it and oil it though. Grin
