just in case anyone is interested,i have recently changed a cam cover gasket on my 24v,once the offside inlet manifold was removed i noticed a few perished and broken vac pipes and plastic "T" pieces, did not know where they were attached originally, however after purchasing the parts required from f.m.d it all came obvious where they fit,it is assembled in a "H" shape with various bores all coming together with the "T"pieces, the part required is part number 7334664 and is described as a hose assembly(£38.00),after removing all the old parts the rubber elbows that the pipes fit into were all perished and cracked too(where does it end)these are part no.6033994 and are described as "connector"(£1.70)buy 4.. guess what? no more hissing and a much smoother engine not that it was running badly in the first place,i hope this helps as i have read quite recently about this hissing and broken "T" piece problem on the 24 valve cars,,,,gaz
