INHIBITOR SWITCH

Hi ya All, Just had a guy round to look at my 2.0 ultima 95 16v, regarding yesterdays problem, ENGINE WON'T START, the guy said it is a faulty inhibitor switch, could anyone let me know where this is found, and could i fix this myself, or is it a garage job? cheers Ron

i would think its the inhibitor switch its on the side of the box and is prob not on right its on the left hand side near the front it may have been knocked loose when they worked on the box other option is that the starter lead has been knocked off the starter solenoid

Thanks Bazw, I'll have to have a look in the morning, i thought this website had some diagrams of the gearbox and pages to view the parts and wiring etc, where have they all gone, there used to be a load of tabs on the left hand side of the home page. Thanks for the advice, i'll let u know how i get on. I've just been out to the car again, and it didn't start, i wiggled the gear stick, and put it in to neutral and she started, something a bit iffy somewhere !!!
