The things needed for a retrospective fit of the Chromatic Mirror are:- 1. A suitable Mirror 2. boss for the windscreen 3. live feed for the mirror and a good earth 4. a full wallet of cash 5 . belief in an "ultimate being" so that it will not eventually leak all over the inside of the car.. Joking apart it is an easy job I would think as stated the only feed really is a power feed . One from the interior light might do . the ned for the second lead so that it swtches off when in reverse is not essential. There are cheaper alternatives around but at the moent I am having difficulty in gettting one from the USA as the shipping costs make it to expensive Have a read of this post as it covers most of what you are asking HERE

Michael, are you saying you had 3 new mirrors in your Scorpio and everyone failed?? Over what time period? I have never yet had one go and I have seen loads in scrappies (and sold a few as well!!) and the only failed one is in the new facelift estate that music_master has just bought (And yes he does know to replace it!) Yes MIchael, they do sell them but if you follow the link I put up to the long original post about mirrors you will see that the shipping costs to the UK are prohibtive and as such, they work out more expensive that the Ford original..... I am stilll trying to find a way of gretting one over her so we can see if they fit etc.. as soon as that is done it may well work out as a bulk order and that is a quantity of 40... Cheers Snoopy BTW Happy belated birthday
