Hi All am having a slight prob with my 24v in that i get a very slight misfire when engine is under load accompanied by a increase in noise (a sort of chuffing noise) i intially thought it may be a partial exhaust blockage ,but the car will still pull to red line in all gears without any probs ,the only obd error code that appears is p0158 downstream sensor bank 2 high voltage ,this code cannot be cleared or rather as soon as i have cleared it it comes back again ,i was under impression the downstream sensors have no bearing on fuelling etc ,am i wrong on this ?? ,as this fault has only turned up since nearside cat was replaced a few weeks ago ,and there were no codes present before then any advise would be appreciated Colin

hi there i wonder if something fell out of the old cat and into the exhaust. have you checked the wiring to the sensor? it might have got pulled about when fitting the new cat. also check the egr pipework. one of the rubber hoses could have blown off (blocked exhaust).

thanks for that ,i have to admit that as soon as get chance car is due into my local machanics for him to gett exhaust off and have a look listen for any bits floating around ,just not had time yet ,but ive got a sneaky feeling its engine related somewhere but havent got a clue where ,not sure why im thinking this but its just a feeling i have ,probably from earlier bad experiences with this car ,3 different fmd once told me when i had a misfire once before it was either electrical or an air leak somewhere a few weeks later the timing chain jumped a few teeth !!!
