Hi ya All, Got a problem with my Heater switch, When I turn the Heater dial sometimes it works straight away, then other times it doesn't, you could switch it on, and nothing comes on, then as your driving along it suddenly it comes back to life. And also the really annoying thing is when you switch the dial to on or off, the A/C light comes on, is this NORMAL!!!! Is there anything I can check on to stop this. Thanks a lot Ron

whenever you turn the engine off everything reprogrames, so when switching back on, the a/c re activates to on, now b/f saying you got a dodgy blower switch i think it works in relation to the individual cab settings if they set high the blower doesnt operate until temperature has risen by a few degrees this could explain why it works after driving short distance. Ron, When the blower comes on and off do the LCD displays flicker between the temperature number and (--)? It seems to be that the CC dial with the OFF/AUTO and variable fan speed position develop a dirty contact over time. I have replaced mine with 3 second hand CC panels and all have eventually ended up like this. If you fiddle with the dial long enough you can get it to remain on, just don't touch it afterwards leave it in the AUTO position or something. HTH Danny_R

Thanks very much to Ren and Danny for your advice, I've just replaced the CC panel yesterday, hoping that that would solve my probs, but all i've managed to gain out of the new panel is that the passenger lcd now displays the temperature, but the blower switch is still iffy, and the A/C light still keeps coming on when you adjust the switch, could this be an electrical fault or is it meant to come on after adjusting the dial ?? Funny enough Danny, I left the switch on AUTO on my journey home tonight, but I wasn't in the car long enough to see if there was any difference. Cheers for ya help. RON

Had the same problem with AC coming on. But in principle was from selecting windscreen as the main flux of air. The other problem of mine is that AC does,'t seem to work. Also got the problem when adjunsting speed of the blower, instalation enterd in reset and - - appeared. It seems solved out now, cleand the front box, and tried to reset CC. Maybe this thred will help: http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Problems;action= display;num=1115502928
