electric mirrors internal mechanism compatibility

Hi Is internal mechanism of electrically controlled and heated mirror of scorpio compatible with some other ford model? Mondeo? earlier scorpio model? My mirrors have been stolen. I've bought the glass, electric motors are OK, but the movable circular clip which is supposed to take the glass is broken. Of course at Ford you cannot buy this tiny part alone, you have to buy a whole mirror or glass only. I do not want to pay $$$ for a whole mirror. Used mirrors for scorpio are rare. If there are compatible mechanisms, it would be easier and cheaper to buy this clip- probably ) regards kluge

Have you thought about a breaker for the mirrors?. A neighbour recently had a problem with his Mondeo and got a complete unit from a scrappy for £5. I have seen them at a breakers in Sussex(Crawley). Where are you based?.

| Well I have thought indeed. I live in Poland You say 5L for mondeo unit. This is a lot cheaper than in my country, let say 3 times cheaper. Again I've found complete units for scorpio on ebay.co.uk for only 15L each and again this is 3 times cheaper than in Poland. Price depends on supply/demand balance. Demand seems to be bigger than supply, here. Anyway, for someone it might be a good idea to start a business regards kluge
