Hi After my external mirrors were stolen, I've had to fix them. But now the mirror which is on the passenger side (my scorpio is right hand drive) is not tilting downwards when on reverse gear. Is there any way to reset it, to do that like before? regards kluge

I think there are two types; with and without memory. I recently had to replace my near-side mirror; £221 + spraying (ouch!) and was asked by the FMD which type I wanted.

have you tried to adjust the mirror to the kerb whilst in reverse? - excuse me if that was obvious but I coudl n't find much detail on this in manual and found out by accident. The irritating problem with mine is that it doesn't return to normal once back in drive.

| Hi Same to mine. The mirror is now unpredictable, it is tilting down, or not, or even tilting up not for normal position but all the way up the sky ) It must be quite simple mechanism controlling it. How does it know when it is tilted up or down? I think I will disconnect it from gearbox rather then trying to fix or replace (quite a lot of $$) thanx
