got to replace a battery on a 24v,want a real heavy duty one,so as to amperage etc.anybody got any recomendations please.............

nic.... 
no,i've now got the use of kev tullochs 24v,problem is battery is US,and needs replacing,pretty sure the 1 i have on mine wont be up to it,so was wanting some advice......... 
and still waiting at that !!...

Craig... As you know I had battery problems for a while. That was the top of the range one from Halfords at about 70 quid.
Since biting the bullet and lashing out 100 notes on the proper Ford one, I've had no bother.
The one you want is the 71a/h version.
Andrew beat me to it there. Mine's exactly the same as Pete's one pictured

Just to add my two-penneth,
I recently changed alternator and battery.
The alternator was broken and the battery was the wrong capacity (only 58Ah!!)
I was going to get the recommended heavy duty battery (from Ford) but they didn't have any in stock.
They did however have standard batteries on the shelf, 71Ah 680 CCA, the same as the heavy duty.

£60.18 plus VAT (but I qualify for 50% discount )
