The other day I was doing some work in the engine compartment. When I was finished, a part suddenly apperared on top of the engine. Only problem is that I don't have a clue where it fits.  Huh Does anyone reconize the part?

If it appeared on top of the engine. Then could it of come from the underside of the bonet. Normaly there is a cloth type heat cover. Was it attached to this?

Bulkhead ,   It's the  dividing  wall  between the  passenger compartment and the engine compartment.

A nautical term I believe ,  although the word  Wall  is  descriptive  enough.

It looks like the drain flap that allows water to drain from underneath the battery. To my knowledge there is only one of these and that is at the front/underneath the battery box.

OK, thank a lot for the advices.  Cheesy I will take a look later today and try to fit it either on the bulkhead or underneath the battery box.

Actually, my native term (norwegian) for bulkhead is "torpedo wall", directly translated. Don't have a clue why.  Roll Eyes

And, LOL. I might not be the most mechanical skilled guy on the planet, but I even I woun't be silly enough to try to force the part on the back of the computer.  Grin

Have a nice Easter, people.

The term could come from the very strong plating sometimes used in the old warships in an attempt to reduce the damage caused by a torpedo!
