Hello inside of my car there is a snapped air (heater)vent. You know the ones that blast in hot /cool air. Someone has been an handy andy and snaped the thumb slider on one black vent. Ive scanned for a wile on interior trim removal but not a sausage. On the left side closest to driver vent im after. Can someone be so helpfull. And point me to the correct page if there is one? I need to replace it once ive found one suitable. So I need to know how to replace. Thank you.. Derek

Derek, Have you actually removed the vent? The inner slider is just a push fit in its carrier, they have a habit of poping out if your a bit hamfisted with them. eddie

Derek I have had the same problem, one of mine snapped off but I found it, has eddie said they clip in to the centre vent but one side had snapped off of mine so it would not stay in place I asked a Ford dealer if you could buy them but has usual you have too buy the whole vent and not just the clip on thumb director so I got some plastic glue and careful glued it in place and so far it has worked fine. I would have tried a breaker but they don't look like they would be easy to remove with out breaking from the front if you could get to them from the back you may have a chance but you would have to remove the dash and mine was the pumice colour not so easy to fine in breaker. good luck hope this helps oh dont try super glue it won't stick. Well thats great . Mine has snaped as I can see the white snaped end. However it was done previous to me buying it. So I dont have the end. So I cant glue it with out the end. I thought the whole front trim would have to come off. Man!! nothing is easy. Its just one of them small niggles the car has. Im trying to iron them out. But little tiny ones such as this. Well there anoying because every day its in my face. Thanks for your responce... Derek
