Hi there i have a problem with my 1996 scorp 2.0 16v estate, in that the speedometer fails to register speed, i have tried the reset etc and it is still not working as it should now and again it registers a speed of around 30mph up to 40 mph but only when i am doing approx 60-80 mph, so i have been reading speed via the rev counter ie, 4000rpm = 80mph ish, this is far from ideal.. any ideas as to if its the cluster or the cable, the digital reading from the reset seems to be off as well . any hep would be appreciated

The VSS is situated on the nearside of the gearbox and is quite an easy DIY job . If you are careful you can replace it without removing the heatsheilds as it states on the main site. Can't remember the finis for the vss but its about £40 from fordpartsuk.com
