upgrading to facelift rear lights

hi can anyone give any advise on changing the rear light clusters(middle boot) from old to facelift, i once read somewhere about exta bulbs but cant find it thanks

I think it was me who said you need extra bulbs but AFAIK you actually don't. I'd imagine the old pice just screws off and the new one screws on. That's how it would work in my ideal world anyway

Hi, It's as your man said a couple of little nuts to undo then the light cluster comes off I found it really easy and I don,t know one end of the spanner to the other Good luck Shaun I.... PS... the face lift rear lights look a whole lot better than the old chrome strip ones

I'll 2nd that shaunskiman. I was actually going to buy a set of the old style rear lights from E-bay. The plan was I could change the rear lights from old to new style depending on my mood, ala Smart car style As usual though, never got round to it! Lights on the facelift are way brighter and are not too far from being clear lenses like on new cars today. Does not have such an American look though but is much neater. Sometimes I prefer the old style but usually prefer the facelift style. Suppose its just a personel preference thing.
