Stalling in Park Mode (24V Auto)

A strange thing has happened since the service 2 weeks ago. If I leave the car in park mode (auto) the revs flutter up and down below 1000 revs and after several 5-20 flutters it can stall. It does not stall in drive mode when stopped and held on the foot break and seems to start without a problem. It did not stall before the service. It is a 24v with 150K and auto M REG 10 years old FSH first 80K Ford. Any ideas would be appreciated. If someone has a OBDII I might arrange to borrow near Basingstoke I'd be interested in seeing them. Alternatively if people are interested in grouping together to get discounted ODBII's I again might be interested in looking into it.

First port of call: http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/pooridle.htm We cleaned our IAC valve recently which helped smooth out the idle but ended up replacing the thing in the end, something like £50 from FMD IIRC. Cheers

Hi macw, Take a look in the Scorpio Meetings forum at the Southern Area Meet thread. There is a meeting next Tuesday just north of Fareham. I shall be going there from Tadley. Cheers
