2.9 12v, no spark - mouse ?

My 2.9 12v won`t fire, there is a spark from the HT lead, nothing at the plugs. I had this problem before and replaced the module on the side of the distributor which worked. This time I noticed some water around the fuseboxes ( yes I have a battery cover ) so I opened the fusebox beside the battery expecting to find it wet, it was bone dry but full of seed husks, a mouse must have got in. There is a small amount of insulation chewed but nothing seems to have shorted. Is there anything in this fusebox which could stop a spark getting from the HT lead to the plugs. Is there anything else I should look for ( chewed cable etc. ) which could cause this lack of spark. Is the brown relay ( R19, engine management ) the same type as the horn relay in the other box ? Many thanks, Paul Boulden

Had same problem..local garage were going to take car to Ford garage....last resort!!! I suggested they disconnected the battery for an hour . After about an hour they rang back and said the car was started and ready for collection....seems ok..every thing crossed. They say there is no artificial inteligence..so how come Scorpios have a a mind of there own.
