Varying Idle RPMs

Dear members, can one of you experts have a look at http://www.anyboard.net/autos/cars/scorpio/posts/378.html and try to find the cause for the varying RPMs during idle on my 2.3l DOHC Auto? I cleaned the MAF. This seemed to decrease the problem a little bit, but did not cure it. I checked the motor loom. But this was okay. I also could not find any leak in the air pipes. My German FMD had MOT performed. Failed because of poor gas figures. I have no details. FMD will start to search for the cause tomorrow. But I already have the impression, that similar to other FMDs, they just are able to change parts but not to find and cure a problem in motor management. As I am a newbie, especially in OBD-2, it my be that I made mistakes when recording data. But despite I hope that someone could identify, if Lambda sensor, IACV, Cat. etc could be the cause. Thanks for your support in advance Regards Armin

Sorry to contradict, but the zip-file contains: SCORPIO1.DAT 92466 Byte SCORPIO1.LOG 811 Byte SCORPIO1.TXT 0 Byte KUKI0410.DAT 504394 Byte KUKI0410.LOG 2102 Byte KUKI0410.TXT 42 Byte I extracted them in a new directory and VE could display both scans without problems. Regards Armin

hi there my mistake. the .log file only showed up when put in the ve folder. on a very quick look at it, your lambda sensor isn't switching, making it go open loop. check the wiring to it. hth
