2.0 16v 1995 sticking throttle ????

could anyone advise me on a problem i have with the accelerator on my 2.0ltr,when i go to accelerate the pedal or something on the throttle system sticks slightly making it a very jerky ride !only does it from the tick over position? is it the throttle butterflies (not sure of proper term) its not on the cable....any common probs with these thanks all for looking,,,gaz

Remove the intake pipes,open up the throttles and clean with carb cleaner and a SOFT cloth,especially around the rim of the butterflies and the sealing edges just inside the housing.Top and Bottom. eddie

hi eddie,yes i have seen a lot of carbon build up around the openeings and thought this was the problem,iwill do this,,,cheers,,,gaz

I have this same problem on my 2.0i ultima and is definately the butterfly as advised by my mechanic Alan
