Are you putting in a new engine or a reconditioned one? Take some pictures for the site if you can and write us a note of any problems that you have. When installing the engine put some NON-synthetic oil in (cheap stuff) and run for 200 miles and then do an oil change with a good synthetic. That helps bed the rings in etc - using a synthetic in a new engine can cause problems with poor piston ring sealing etc as the oil is 'too' good. Good time to clean the engine bay and rustprrof underneath

Hi, The engine is recon but very low mileage (under 30k). It was taken from a write off but no damage to engine... It is coming with all paper work e.t.c.... Will get me camera ready. Thanks for tips.

As the engine is put in from underneath during manufacture I would imagine taking it out and putting a replacement in through the engine compartment is a bit of a swine. Although with the radiators removed there is a wee bit leeway, still, it's a hefty lump of metal.
