Finally got my car back after an engine re build but the top end seems .....well noisy tappets etc. I know its had a new timming chain and all the bits releated cos I saw them prior to fitting.. I have now done 200 miles since getting it back and I would have thought that the tappets would have bedded in by now. also the idle is incorrect oil light stays on until 1200 rpm (ish) when sitting at traffic light etc oil light flickers on. Its had a new MAF and the various sensors related, 2 new coils etc. any ideas lads.. TA .
tappets, oil light, all seems related, get oil pressure tested, that will give you some amunition. causes of low oil pressure after re build, blocked oil strainer on pick up pipe, pick up pipe damaged or not sealing.
