The cover over my petrol cap should unlock when the doors are unlocked. Alas when I unlock the car doors the locking device continually locks/unlocks. This stops when the doors are locked or when the ignition is turn on. Advice please

mine did the same so in the short term i unplugged it, i the have got another one from a scrap yard but not fitted it yet. it is pretty easy to unplug, go into the boot remove the carpet or lift it away from the right hand corner, release the trim i think there is two screws holding the trim in place then lift it enough to get to the locking module, now you will need a torch and a mirror and a small flat bladed screw driver. using the mirror and torch locate where the multi plug fits into the locking module, there is a small retaining clip, using the screw driver ease the clip off then unplug the module. hope this helps, the more electrically minded will know why it's doing this but i know how stop it. only took five mins. have fun
