The cover for my fuel filler cap contiually locks/unlocks when the doors are unlocked. It stops when the doors are locked or when the ignition is turned on.

Might be something as simple as a short in the woring by the plug, Under the trim inside the boot is the place to look.

Hi there First 1 question do you have a second alarm I have the same "problem". When i bought the car, the filler cap didn't lock. So with the help of Snoopy i got some instructions and look at the wireing. The plug was disconnected . I said "Wow that was too simple" and i was right, now each time i unlock the doors with the engine runing the cap lock unlocks continuasly, eaven if i turn of the engine it still keeps on going. Sometimes when i start te engine, and the dors lock the filler cap does it's thing again. The only method to stop it from doing that nasty stuf is to lock/unlock from the aftermarket alarm remote. Also i do not have a remote for the original car alarm. You can try to disconnect the battery so the alarm/ general closing module will reset and hopefully come back to earth again. I'm afarid to try this because last time when i disconnected the battery i woke up half of the neighbourhood Somehow i think the mix of aftermarket with original alarm make the problem.
