Ignition Transformer Capacitor

Nort for the purists!!
We have a 24V running, very nicely in our Capri on an Emerald management system. It runs extremely well and as you would expect gives the car the power it lacked with the 2.8.
My question is: The Ignition transformer capacitor
Number U1 C868 is shown with one of the two wires connected to the ignition transformer feed wire. The other wire connection is not detailed. Can anyone explain where this other wire should be connected.
I presume the capacitor is used to give a boost to the transformer starting cranking. The car does turn over a smidgen longer than I would anticipate on first start of the day but I put that down to the fuel pressure rather than lack of spark.
Advice would be appreciated.

Just another addition the engine came from a (P) plate and the engine loom was horrendous. All the wires from the front of the engine through the 'V' were hardened and cracked. The insulation just fell away. The strange thing is we drove the car into the workshop to swap the power unit and there was no hint of a fault!
Regards
Sid
