I had an alternator fitted about 6 weeks ago because the old one gave up the ghost over nite. (I had washed the car then lifted the bonnet to check oil, water etc) Low and behold, had driven 200 miles in one day, checked the oil as I was returning, it was raining so some water entered the engine compartment, started the car and the battery light was on, checked the charge, and the altenator wasn't charging again. The car is a '95 Diesel 2.5 Ultima Checked the fuse boxes, both were dry on the inside but had got slightly wet on the outside I do have a battery cover fitted, Has anyone got any suggestions as it is getting a bit expensive, a new alternator every 6 weeks, Ta Mick
