Is there a code flashing on the dashboard LED? when it cuts out?

check the main plug on the offside under the ABS brake  if that has got power steeing fluid on it might be that .    The only other thing is the EEC wiring going through the bulk head. ( Nearside ) it has to be something on those lines.  Have you checked the main fuse links for continuity and that they are not faulty, or cracked?
Really struggling on this one

thanks, is that the main connector block for the engine wiring loom , big connector held down by a nut, i would have thought that fmd would have checked this  for £465.00 but i will check in the morning, i cant belive its a connection though as it runs then just cuts out only to restart without you touching anything after 5 , 6 hours Cry Cry Cry

if it won't connect to test equip then it's probably an eec based fault .. albeit a little unusual ... I would suggest obtaining an eec < second hand > or maybe you know someone who could swap for a few minutes just to eliminate that first ... my advice would be to see if a donor car will not start using your eec ,rather than see if your car will start using the donor eec .. keep us informed .... regards .....
