No spark...struggling to know what...

Im struggling to know what to do for the best. with limited funds im not going to start replacing things that dont need it ..the absence of a manual makes it hard to know where to start..had to buy a mondeo last week for a trip to belgium and the tax runs out on the scorp at the end of the month.. if its not sorted soon ill be keeping the mondeo and the scorp will be heading for the yard which is not what i want cos it knocks spots off the mondeo. if i could find a scorp enthusiast/expert in my area i would be laughing but doesnt seem to be any..standard auto sparks seem a bit vague on the subject and FMD ...well i wouldnt even consider it unless i was gonna sell the grandmother... any help or advice.. please get in touch
cheers

The first thing you need to do is to include in your' profile',or on the page ,where you are based as without that info no one knows if the're in your area in order to offer help !!.

For your information all the FOrd Workshop Manual for ALL models of the car is published with Ford permissions on the main site. the main index is here http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/index2.htm
there is a search facilty at the bottom but I woudl suspect the fuel cut off loom , or the wiring to the plugs it is known to get very brittle with the heat
But as Simmo states let people know where you are if you want physical help!

also see here http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/dohcloom.htm

Thanks..I have just tested again for voltage using a test  bulb. ignition key in II. there is voltage from the green wire going to the coil packs and earth.. the other wires (gre/wh and gre/blu) do not appear to have any voltage also there is no voltage from either pin on the cam position sensor.
The immobiliser is coming off according to the owners handbook. The red light is going off after 5 secs.
any more thoughts before i order a new cut off loom. cheers

Not sure if that's a good idea - a digital multimeter is recommended to protect the PCM!

Anyone care to comment if the circuit bingo is testing could be affected?

Absolutely! High Input Impedance test euipment (e.g. A DVM) is *essential* for testing micro-electronics.
