Bought NS CAT. Sensor Tapping Wrong -24V

I have purchased and had fitted a cheaper NS Cat, from a suplier suggested at Weston and had this fitted to my 24V. The CAT fits perfectly into the manifold / exhaust system, however the threaded boss for the HO2 sensor is welded at aout 30 degrees above horizontal. The sensor can not be fitted due to the proximity of the engine sump. Now had the old CAT put back on. Anyone else had a similar problem? Malcolm Current CAT price from parts direct including carriage and VAT is £390.92. Malcolm

Hi Snoopy, Thanks for your reply. I know, I have the ceramic version on my bench. My local friendly garage who recomended and fitted the ceramic CAT had suggested that I buy the cheaper version which has a 2 year warranty. The dearer "Steel CAT" supplied by the same company has a 3 year warranty. Apart from price and warranty do you know the difference between ceramic and steel? It is possible that their dearer steel version has the H02 bush welded to the pipe at the correct angle. 73's Malcolm The dearer "Steel" version has three years
