What is this jumpered connector, next to the AC?

While considering doing the AC modification, looking down the AC evaporator space, next to my battery (LHD) I discovered a lonely 2-wire connector, with a looped counterpart inserted, bridging the 2 wires. It emerges from the loom connecting the AC electricals and sits next to the recirculation door actuator. I have not yet tried disconnecting the loop and hoping to see what happens. Any ideas what's it for? Ray PS I tried to insert a photo here; The 'insert image' button [img][/img] just produces this text. How does that work?

Thank you for the picture -- yes, that is the part! I cannot fathom what's it for. Of course, I could pull it apart and drive around waiting for some malfunction... Any clues from anybody? (I could alway ask my dealer ) Ray
