Hi all, I apologize in advance if this has been covered before, but I am stuck with a car with no mot that needs taxing. when I turn key, all dash lights come on as normal, but when I try to start it then there is nothing, not even a click from the starter. I have tried with jump leads, so is not a power problem, I have tried with both my keys and still nothing. I am now stuck and dont know what to try next, any help would be much appreciated before it gets towed, or I get an £80 fine on my door step.

I love trying to solve these ones! has the car been sitting a while? Is it an automatic? if so try to start it in N instead of P, might be dodgy selector switch Failing that disconnect your battery for a couple of minutes then reconnect and try again. see how you get on with those

Hi, further to the above ideas check: - what is the PATS light doing? Is it flashing an error? - check starter inhibitor relay 11 in central fuse box - have you disconnected the battery at all recently? Make sure all the small leads are on the terminals - do you have fuse box/battery covers? If not there may be water in the fuse box(es) Good luck
