Good question, i've been thinking of upgrading my speakers all round and was a bit perturbed by the mounting space.. not only is it narrow, it's very shallow. We need to come to a solution on this one... i'll have another good look tomorrow. Anyone any ideas? Dave

As an Automotive Design Engineer, I have two thoughts. 1. Depending on the develpment of the car, the parcel shelf could be a structural part. If so, I wouldn't recommend cutting holes in it just in case you have a crash - it also might affect your insurance. 2. If is isn't part of the structural integrity of the car, GO FOR IT. Unfortunately, there isn't really any way of checking this out. However, I suspect that it probably is structural. Paul.
