I have a 2.0 16v.ultima 1995.had run fine till three days ago .now i have the o/d light flashing ,speedo needle going side to side faster than the wiper blades and no power to pull away, all it does when you put it in drive and try to accelerate is misfire, put it in neutral and it revs to the top.I have replaced the vss,the maf,the feul cut out loom and the transmission loom .My local ford dealers do not have obd2 so are not interested but did try to sell me a mondeo??.So if someone has had similar
or could give an educated guess of were to go or what to change next i would be very greatful.thanks Huh

Hi
Hmm try looking at the fuse boxes. Make sure there is no water in them at all.
Was the complete engine loom O.K? I know you said you looked at the transmission part.

That's where I would start the simple things first.

Do you have a battery cover on the car.

both fuse boxes were bone dry but i blew around them with compressed air anyway, the battery cover is on and all of the engine loom that i could see seems to be ok (no obvious damage) .but i have heard that the wiring looms on these older cars can be tricky.
