N reg 2.9 24V Slight hesitation when cold

Whenever i start the car from cold when it is reved there is a slight hesitation, as soon as it is warm its fine. Its as if when you press the accelerator down there is a delay, it thinks about it, then there is a slight missfire. Also when cold and you accelerate it can just cut out. Its weird really because as i say when warm it is fault-less. I orginally thought of a coolant temp sensor but they dont havr them do they? I also think i'm using a lot of fuel hence one of my other posts. Cheers Andy

hi there could be a lambda sensor problem try the fault finder page or post your location and see if someone nearby can run a OBD-2 scan. hth http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/faultfinds.htm

I had this problem and even a thread here of the same name! It turned out to be an air manifold leak-when the metal heated up it expanded enough to seal the gaps.Apparently it's a fairly cheap DIY job.
