Hi!
I'm the Italian owner of a built in 1996 very regular Scorpio (sorry for my English!).
I 've found this site very interesting and useful!
I've a theory about the "inexplicable" code on bottom of Vin Plate, on the right hand.
My code sounds like "5Z03" ; two friends of mine have "5A01" , "5C02".
I think 5 is a constant and it's a request-code, or a list-code..! It remains "Z03" , "A01" , "C02" : they seem to me like RPO (regular production options)codes ! I've found a complete list of GM RPO codes on the net (see also Camaro Research Group), with their options.
I know that GM uses RPO codes in North-America only.. but they're so similar!
What do you think about?
May you help me to understand what options "Z03" means for Europe Ford cars?
