Over the past 6 weeks I have had problems with the ABS/Traction control light coming on. They pass the self test on start-up, but both come on when you reach about 20 M.P.H. and then stay on until switch off. I have searched this site and have tried the following:- 1. Cleaned all the ABS sensors. 2. Cleaned the splines on the shafts. 3. Cleaned all connectors associated with the sensors. 4. Checked all tyre pressures. None of the above has had any effect the problem is still there. I just wondered if anyone has any other ideas I could try. Many Thanks, Chris Brown.

How are your wheel bearings? I guess any movement there could put the lights on. HTH

Well all the things mentioned is the first to check. The ABS module/pump will give the same fault. If it is the module it will come & go at first then get more & more common until it does it all the time usally. Yes expensive new (about £1000 for a TC one) but look on ebay or on here & you can get them very cheap indeed 2nd hand. I have a few

Did all of the above, that's why took it in to read codes. Watched over the guys shoulder whilst he did them - handy piece of kit ?? When he checked on on computer, it gave a method for checking the motor, basically unplug it (2 wire connecter) and put 12V across it BUT not for more than 1 minute. Assuming it is the motor, can this be replaced only, or is it still the whole pump/motor/ecu change? Just checked motor plug, all clean, still no joy. Had a good look at the motor, doesnt look like its easily replaced, looks like will have to go for the whole lot.
