My '96 2 litre ultima doesnt have a very warm heater.When the weather is cold the temp gauge doesnt reach normal .In the summer,the heater is hot.Is this a common problem?

Could be a sticking thermostat - may no be opening fully, or could be stuck open. Worth checking I would say  Smiley
