1995 Ultima Air Con and heating problems

I have a 1995 Ultima which has had a problem with the air conditioning module in that the passenger side read out did not work so I have not been able to re-calibrate it. Currently the car will not heat up. I have now replaced the air con module and the passenger side read out now works OK. However when I come to recalibrate it the passenger side read out will not bring up 00, but 00 then two dots which repeat 3 times then stay as 2 dots. I can not get any numbers to show in the passenger side read out so I can not re calibrate it. The site mentions that the early model did have a fault and that not being able to recalibrate was the result of this fault, but I have not been able to get any advice on what the corrective action for this is. The last time I took my old Mk 111 Granada to a Ford main agent they laughed at me and at the time that was only 10 years old so I am very reluctant to approach a Ford main agent who I dont know. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a very similar problem, when I do the system check I get 00 on the right hand side and 50 on the left hand side, I dont know what this means but as you I get no heat at all. In auto mode the system dosnt even run so I have to have it in manual mode to get cold air Brrrr, any Ideas any one would be great. Cheers

If you do a reset on the CC "50" is what should be selected on the passenger side temp gauge. Thats the only only one you should touch. NOT the driversr side. if you still get NO heat after a reset chech the pipes where they go into the bulkhead and see if they are getting hot.. If not they a back flush and refill with new ANTI FREEZE may cure the problem. there has been so much about this subject in the past . but most of it is on the web site http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/ccreset.htm
