Have a ford scorpio ultima P reg that for a while hasnt blown any hot air out i put this down to maybe a blockage which i was getting round to sorting. But for the last few weeks there was problem with the air blowing would suddenly stop and then all of a sudden would kick back in and blow normal. Then all of a sudden it stopped all together and now no air is blowing what so ever. I have tried a reset and did notice that it gave a code 07 i tried resetting a few times with no joy. So i presume it may be the HBC gone all together does anybody know the price and where to source this part im located in the oldbury area of wet midlands Or anything else it may be have checked fuse F29 and thats all well Cheers Marc

Does sound like HBC fault .... Fordparksuk could be a good source....But no idea on cost. It can take several resets before they work, I remember one member having tried six or seven times before it worked , si IMHO its always worth giving a good go.

You can test the HBC and see if it is before buying a new one http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/hbctest.htm

ok quick update i did go for a second hand hbc replacement which upon fitting still had the same probs no air. Just tested the hbc and alls well on my old one and the replacement. Upon connecting the motor directly to the battery nowt there so it showed it was the motor. So we thought we would do some exploring so we bored a hole couple of inches in diameter in the housing to get to the motor to the right of the hbc turned on the car and blower and by using a piece of plastic bit of the outer from a length of twin and earth did the job and wasnt hard enough to damage it we started to move it in the direction they rotate and that did the trick motor kicked in and started blowing so at least i know the problem id with the motor. Before i have to cut it out would maybe spraying something inside via the hbc removed to try and clean the connectors or any other recommedations Cheers Marc PS also have a fully working HBC for sale if anybody wants to make me a offer

Good old WD40 seems to have done the trick Sprayed as instructed started the cars and motor was turning at full belt i now have air coming in and none of the rattling noise i had before. I would recommend this a maybe a first step for anyone not getting air as its the cheapest and quickest test to see I like to thank all the advice on here Cheers Marc At least the missus has stop blowing hot air now it sorted
