hello there, having problems when starting, the engine splutters and smokes, but as soon as i switch over to gas it runs fine. when i then switch back to petrol once she's running it's fine. are the injectors blocked?,because i don't run it on petrol much,or is it something else?it's a 2.9 12v. thanks, bob.

Hi, Sounds like the engine is getting too much fuel when you start up. Is the gas multipoint or single point? I'm thinking that maybe there's a sensor which has packed up and if you have single point gas mixing then the management system won't be affected as much when running on gas. Once the car is running the input of the sensor would be reduced. I would check for any codes if you have an OBD lead. HTH Thunderchild
