Po 734.....gear 4 incorrect ratio
p1761 ..... shift soleinoid c performance
U1451 scp j18150 invalid or missing??

cleaned the maf with carb cleaner and rehoused...then the mechanic notice that the pipe for the EGR control something was just hanging off!!!! He reconnects this and itake the car for a 10 mile run ..engage OD, 1st,2nd etc  ..the car seemed soooo much smoother ..no revs racing from 2000-3500 in a second...NO OD light flashing anymore .. hes convinced this is the problem sorted..we checked the gearbox oil and it was spot on for clour and level... Is this the problem over lads

I dont wanna celebrate anything yet so Ive put those codes up for the boys to look at.

Ps Im def getting one ofthese obd 2 leads in the new year so if your ever in Bournemouth then message me...

One more thing ...what do the actual faults mean in terms of how are they fixed? Are they serious?? and costs??  cheers

Hi Stafford -
Your autobox symptoms sound similar to ones I've been having, AND your fault codes, too. The fluid's being changed today to see if that helps, but meanwhile, what do you mean by
"the pipe for the EGR control something was just hanging off!!!! "
Can you be more specific? What is it, where is it, what's it look like, how do I check it?
Hope you can help - could be just what I've been hoping for!

get under your bonnet and look to the right of the engine bloc... the big silver heat shield is there..then look to the side of theses and check no small plastic tubes have come off from where its obvious they were once connected.. i fitted a k&n air filter a month ago and i think moved this little tube whilst doing it.. I do no since putting it back my engine symptoms have calmed down ..the OD lites not flashing and touch wood im ok ..hopefully. Eric r the founder of this site says if the OD lite stays off I m ok and not to bother wiith run another diagnostic yet unless the lite comes back on.. hope this helps ..also read this...
