Hi Guys, just had the pleasure of changing the Heater Matrix, filled full of Antifreeze started her up, the Temp guage showed Normal and no heat through the vents, on auto the fan was running very low even when I turned the temp to Hi, what I did notice was that the Rad hoses had collapsed, is this a huge air lock and or have I put the Matrix hoses on the wrong way round or does that not make any difference ? Any help would be appreciated as I am fed up now after changing the Matrix. Cheers

Are you sure that the cooling system is properly full ? Check the site for tips on refilling the system.

Over night the air came to the surface and just a quick top up and a lot of nervous monitoring for an hour or so the old girl is back on the road Now warm within 5 mins and pumping lovely hot air at my command, I dont think its been this good since I had the car some 2 years ago. Thanks to every one who helped me through the matrix sarga, the web site was fantastic with info, step to step guide was on the button, when I look back it wasnt all that bad, the only real down side was that i was having to drive the wifes Clio for a week and a half Back to cruising. Cheers

A Clio! I had to suffer the indignity of a hired Ford Ka ( £93 for three days, THEY shoulda paid me to drive the 'orrible little thing ) while the old behemoth was getting some attention.
