2007 head unit amp question

Hi, I have a 2007 head unit and believe it connects to an amplifier located above the glove box. I am thinking about installing a sony cdx-sw200 cd radio unit which has phono connectors for hooking up to an exteneral amplifier as well as the usual connectors for speakers direct from the sony unit. Can anyone tell me if the ford amplifier has inputs which will accept the phono output and thus negate the need for me to hook up the sony speaker connections as well as allowing me to use the steering remote? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the help Dave. Looks like a fairly time consuming job so might wait till the weather improves...
